Middle School Math and Science
Ms. Stafford grew up in Chambersburg, Pa with two younger brothers and many cousins. Family is extremely important to her. Ms. Stafford chooses to teach in Catholic Schools because of the great sense of family and community established in the school community that paralleled with her own family values.
Having taught in public school, Ms. Stafford found that the feeling in a Catholic School is one of family, community, and inclusion. “We know and care about each other; the expression of our faith is encouraged.”
Ms. Stafford always knew she wanted to be a teacher. Her undergraduate degree is in mathematics, but science allows her to “play” a little during the day. “I have had, and continue to have, the great fortune to work with some of the best teachers who share my passion of teaching.” Her love of teaching is also inspired and motivated by her students and their love of learning.
After a wonderful day with her shining students, Ms. Stafford goes home to her dog, Winnie, and her 5 cats. Although Ms. Stafford would agree that this is a lot of pets, they are all rescues who needed a safe place to live. Yes, they cause Ms. Stafford to clean a lot! She also reads voraciously and does needlework on her down time. She is currently working on a baby blanket for her first grandchild!
Saint Raphael School is blessed to have Ms. Stafford as a teacher here. She feels Saint Raphael School choose her. “From the moment I stepped into the school for my first interview 11 years ago, I felt a profound calling to be here. The students, faculty, the staff, and the parents have all become a part of my extended family. I treasure each and every moment I spend here—I don’t have to go to work, I get to go to school!”
