Welcome to Physical Education!

Teacher:  Mr. Fuccello

Email: james.fuccello@srsnj.org

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

My name is Mr. James Fuccello and I am very honored to be the Saint Raphael's Physical Education teacher once again for the 2018-2019 school year. Last year was my first year teaching here and it could not have gone better! I am very excited to be returning and it is going to be another amazing year!

Here is a little bit about myself. I have been around Physical Education teachers since I was young. Both my father and aunt have been Physical Education teachers in the area for over 30 years. I have learned so much from them about how to make class a fair, fun, and safe learning environment. I am also a certified personal trainer and I have trained people of all ages at the Hamilton Area YMCA. I have had the opportunity to work with Mr. Belviso and learned a great deal by shadowing him in the past. I was a substitute teacher and assistant football coach at Notre Dame high school for several years and I coached youth basketball for the Hamilton Area YMCA. I also write music and I wrote the school theme song last year: "Saint Raphael's School Song" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PryOy1S0mPM&t=157s

I attended and graduated from both Holy Angels and Notre Dame High School. My brothers attended and graduated from Saint Raphael School. My goal for the students is to inspire them toward an attitude of healthful activity and to encourage them to be active at home as well as in class. In today's era of advanced technology, it is important that our students maintain an appropriate level of activity. I would like for the students to develop great teamwork, skills, and to continue to have respect, reverence, and responsibility. Please feel free to contact me at any time. I can be reached by email at james.fuccello@srsnj.org or through the school office at (609)585-7733.

Sincerely,

James Fuccello
